FY 2017-18 Unified Planning Work Program

CAMPO staff is developing a two year work program.  The UPWP is a document that outlines the transportation planning and programming activities of CAMPO for fiscal years 2017 and 2018 (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018).  Funding for CAMPO activities are made possible through the U.S. Department of Transportation as well as the three local entities within the CAMPO planning area – Carson City, Douglas County, and Lyon County.  The work efforts to be undertaken and their associated costs and funding are described in the UPWP.  The creation of this document is a federal requirement of CAMPO.

FFY 2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendment

CAMPO staff is proposing an amendment to the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  The TIP is a programming document for federally funded projects and projects of regional significance proposed within the CAMPO planning area over a four-year period. The amendment proposes to add an improvement project for Sierra Vista Lane to the TIP.

Regional Transportation Plan Update




CAMPO staff is developing a 25 year regional transportation plan (RTP). The RTP is a long-range planning document for the region’s transportation system. The plan identifies and analyzes the needs of various modes of transportation for the metropolitan region and creates a framework for project priorities.

Federal Fiscal Year 2017 - 2019 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal

CAMPO staff is developing a Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2017 - 2019 DBE Goal, which is a federally required document that establishes a goal in the form of a percentage of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds that should be expended on DBEs during this period, exclusive of funds used to purchase transit vehicles. A 30-day public comment period was initiated on May 24, 2016, and any member of the public who would like to review the draft document may click link below. CAMPO is a voting member of the Nevada Unified Certification Program (NUCP), for the purpose of certifying Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) who wish to participate in U.S. Department of Transportation-assisted projects in the State of Nevada.

Meetings of the NUCP Committee are generally held on the last Tuesday of each month, at 10:00 a.m. Physical meeting locations rotate each month between the northern and southern parts of the state, but there is opportunity to attend by conference call as well.
