Road and trail closures still in effect as of 9/18/17

  1. Ash Canyon Road

  2. Long Ranch Estates Open Space trail near Kings Canyon Creek

  3. Moffat Open Space multi-use trail between Lepire Drive and Hells Bells Road due to upcoming construction

FEMA Flood Repair Projects – Parks, Trails, and Open Space Project Status

 Rifle Range Entrance Road

Status:  Project complete - Road repairs finished with City labor and equipment.

 

Old Clear Creek Road, Fuji Park, and Fairgrounds

Status: Majority of work completed with City labor and equipment.  Minor site grading and sediment removal from detention basins is still pending and damage at Baily Fishing Pond still needs to be completed.

 

Centennial Park, Pete Livermore Sports Complex, and Governors Field

Status:  Majority of work completed by a third party contract.  City is working to replace several damaged light poles at the Pete Livermore Sports Complex.

 

Riverview Park

Status:  Trail repair contract to be awarded at Board of Supervisors meeting to contractor on September 21, 2017.  Trail repair along the river to be completed in a future phase.  City is  consulting with Army Corp of Engineers, Nevada State Lands, and Nevada Department of Environmental Protection regarding permitting requirements. Completion planned in late fall 2017. 

 

Riverview Trail (Between Riverview Park and Empire Ranch Golf Course)

Status:  Project in design/consulting with Army Corp of Engineers, Nevada State Lands, and Nevada Department of Environmental Protection regarding permitting requirements.  Completion planned in spring 2018.

 

Empire Ranch River Trail

Status: Project in design/consulting with Army Corp of Engineers, Nevada State Lands, and Nevada Department of Environmental Protection regarding permitting requirements. Completion planned in spring 2018.

 

Route 6/Hellsbells Road – Moffat Open Space Low Flow Crossing

Status:  Project proposal have been received to reconstruct the lower flow crossing by the City and construction will begin soon.  Completion planned in October/November 2017

 

Linear Ditch Trial / Freeway Multi-use Path

Status: Request for trail repair quotes are out to contractors.  Proposals are due back to the City during the week of September 18-22, 2017. Completion planned in November, 2017. 

 

Brunswick Canyon Road Repair (In river canyon)

Status:  Project in design.  Completion planned in late spring 2018.

 

Mills Park Repairs

Status:  Completion planned in December, 2017.

 

Drainage Ditch Through Mills Park and Along High School

Status: Completion planned in December, 2017.

 

Long Ranch Park and Walking Path

Status:  Asphalt path repair project is currently in design. Completion planned in November/December 2017.

 

V&T Trail Repairs

Status: Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Mexican Ditch Trail

Status:  City is currently working with Farm Services Agency to repair the trail damage.  Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Aquatics Facility Repairs

Status:  Department staff is working with Facilities to repair roof leak and sheet rock damage.  Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Community Center Repairs

Status:  Department staff is working with Facilities to repair roof leak and replace acoustic tiles in west hallway.  Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Greenbelt Park Repairs

Status:  Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Seely Loop Repairs at Saliman Road

Status:  Completion planned in December 2017.

 

Sunland Drive Repairs

Status:  Completion planned in December 2017.

 

Centennial Park/Centennial Park Drive Repairs

Status:  Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Ash Canyon Road

Status:  Project in design.  Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Silver Saddle Ranch Road

Status:  Completion to be determined (TBD).

 

Waterfall Road, off of Kings Canyon Road

Status:  Project in design.  Completion planned in Spring 2018  

 

Silver Saddle Ranch – Debris removal near river

Status:  Completion to be determined (TBD).
