CCSAR Team


The Carson City Search and Rescue Team operates under the direction of Sheriff Ken Furlong and has been called out to search for missing people, locate downed aircraft, secure accident/crime scenes, assist neighboring agencies and participate in community events, such as:
  • Taste of Downtown
  • National Night Out
  • Cops and Kids
  • Nevada Day
  • Halloween at the Governor’s Mansion
  • SafeGrad at Carson High School
The Carson City Search and Rescue Team though operating under the direction of the Sheriff's Office, is primarily a self-funded group.  On top of substantial member contribution, CCSAR hosts an annual fundraiser every year.  Community donations are always welcome and much appreciated. Donations may be sent to the address below.
CCSAR is always looking for dedicated members. Application packets can be obtained from the front desk of the Sheriff's Office located at 911 E. Musser St., Carson City, NV.  or by written requests sent to the address below.
