FACILITY RENTAL INFORMATION
The following facilities are available for rental through the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department:

Facilities are available to both commercial and non-profit groups
Commercial Groups are any groups or organizations that would rent a facility to earn profit from the event. These groups or organizations will be charged either resident or non-resident commercial fees for the use of the facility.
Non-Profit Groups are any patriotic, charitable, fraternal, religious, or service groups. Proof of
non-profit status, such as the Articles of Incorporation or current 501C3, must be provided by these groups. However, non-profit may also include family events, such as weddings and picnics, whereby proof of non-profit status is not required.
General Event Requirements
The following requirements must be met by all groups or individuals interested in rental of the facilities. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made unless previously approved by the Parks and Recreation Director. The Reservation Coordinator may cancel your reservation if these requirements are not met in a timely fashion.

Since our facilities are in demand, we recommend that you that you reseve as early as possible, we require a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 2 years in advance
Facility Rental Waiver
CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE CARSON CITY PARKS AND RECREATION FACILITY:
FACILITY RENTAL WAIVER & POLICIES
General Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 is required. In addition, Liquor Liability Insurance is required for all Events open to the General Public, at which liquor is being served or sold. A CERTIFICATE NAMING THE CITY OF CARSON CITY (201 N. Carson St., Carson City, NV 89701) AS AN "ADDITIONAL INSURED" FOR THE DATE/VENUE/EVENT REFERENCED ON THIS PERMIT MUST BE PROVIDED. For State sponsored events, a letter from the Risk Management Division advising that coverage is provided for the Event will be acceptable.
The individual and/or organization renting the facility agrees to indemnify, defend at the City's request, and hold Carson City harmless from any and all liability, costs, claims, judgments, damages or expenses, including attorney's fees and related costs and expenses, which Carson City may incur or sustain by reason of any negligent act or negligent failure to act or intentional wrongful act or intentional wrongful failure to act by the individual and/or organization, its officers, employees, agents and/or subcontractors, in or relating to the use of the City's premises, facilities and property.

The renter is responsible for all set up of tables & chairs. The renter is responsible for clean up and removal of any decorations, etc. used. Failure to leave the facility in satisfactory condition as determined by the Parks & Recreation Department Staff by the departure time specified on this contract, may result in additional charges, as well as a higher cleaning deposit for the next two events reserved by the renter. The Community Center will have a custodian on duty at all times. The Parks and Recreation Department is not responsible for anything left on the premises.
Carson City Parks and Recreation retains the right to require security for any Event at the Renter’s expense. The Reservation Coordinator will advise you at the time of your reservation request if this requirement is applicable to your event. The ESTIMATED charges for security will be referenced on the Facility Rental Permit, but will be paid directly to the Security Service Company, at least 30 working days prior to the Event. In the event that additional security guards are needed or are required to stay longer than originally contracted/paid for, the additional charges will be due and payable to the Security Service Company at the conclusion of the Event.
IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, CARSON CITY PARKS AND RECREATION RETAINS FULL AUTHORITY FOR FINAL APPROVAL AND/OR DENIAL OF FACILITY RESERVATION REQUESTS. THE CITY HAS PRIORITY BOOKING RIGHTS FOR ALL FACILITIES.
GLASS CONTAINERS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ANY CITY PARK, INCLUDING THE CARSON CITY FAIRGROUNDS, SILVER SADDLE RANCH, AND ALL CITY TRAILS/OPEN SPACE.
CARSON CITY FAIRGROUNDS/SILVER SADDLE RANCH EVENTS: Horse tripping, steer tailing, or shocking to the face or head area of any animal or livestock with an electric prod or similar device is strictly prohibited at this facility. If it is observed during the course of any Event, the Event will be shut down immediately with no refund.
ANCILLARY PERMIT REQUIREMENTS/FEES
A Health Permit is required for any event where food or beverages are being served or sold to the general public. In some cases a telephone interview with a Health Department official may be required. For additional information, please contact the Health Department at (775) 283-7576.
A Liquor Permit is required for any event where alcohol of any kind is being sold by any group or individual during the event. For additional information, you may contact the Business License Division at (775) 283-7059.
A Fire Permit is required for any public event or social function where attendance is expected to be 50 people or more, such as craft fairs, open air markets, cook-offs, dances, carnivals, etc. A diagram of how your event will be set up is required to obtain this Permit. A Business License is required when the Renter will be selling any product or promoting any special event (i.e., food, concert or craft fair). For additional information please contact the Business License Division at (775) 283-7059.
An Authorization for Street Closures must be obtained for any event where streets need to be closed. For additional information, please contact the Business License Division at (775) 283-7059.
A Sales Tax Permit is required for any event where any sales take place, including food sales. These permits are available from the State of Nevada Department of Taxation. For additional information, you may contact them at (775) 687-4820; 1550 E. College Parkway, Carson City, NV 89706
