CALL TO ORDER
ROLL CALL AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM
Members of the public who wish to address the Parks and Recreation Commission may come forward and speak on matters related to the Commission. Comments may be limited to three minutes per person or topic. If your item requires extended discussion or action, please request the Chairperson to schedule the matter for a future meeting. No action may be taken on a matter raised under this item of the agenda until the matter itself has been specifically included on an agenda as an item upon which action may be taken.

B. For Possible Action: To submit comments on the State Route 28 Corridor Management Plan to
Carson City’s Regional Transportation Commission. (Ann Bollinger, Natural Resource Specialist)
C. For Possible Action: To review and make recommendations to the Parks and Recreation
Department staff regarding an existing Aquatic Facility rule on the supervision of children six years
and younger. (Kurt Meyer / Roger Moellendorf)
D. For Possible Action: To prioritize three proposed sites for a disc golf course. (Roger Moellendorf /
Vern L. Krahn)
E. For Possible Action: To recommend to the Board of Supervisors to support the Redevelopment
Authority Citizen Committee’s recommendation to award $122,851 to the first phase of the Carson
City Fairgrounds Arena Plaza Improvement Project. (Vern L. Krahn)
F. For Possible Action: To recommend to the Board of Supervisors to transfer $17,434 of
Residential Construction Tax funds from Governors Field and $22,930 of Quality of Life (Question
18) funds from the Rifle and Pistol Range to the BMX Track Lighting Project or recommend to the
Board of Supervisors to return $122,721 Land and Water Conservation Fund grant. (Roger Moellendorf / Scott Fahrenbruch / Vern L. Krahn)
4. STAFF UPDATES - DISCUSSION ONLY
A. Update on the Carson River Aquatic Trail improvements at the Andersen / Lloyds Diversion.

B. Update on the Partnership Carson City Let’s Move event held at Park Terrace Park and the Sierra
Youth Football League event held at Carson City High School. Both events were held on Saturday, August 10, 2013. (Roger Moellendorf)
C. Update on the City’s Equipment Open House to be held at Fire Station 52 on Thursday,
September 12, 2013, from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. (Scott Fahrenbruch)
D. Update on the conversion from effluent to potable water for the irrigation systems at the Edmonds
Sports Complex, Governor’s Field, JohnD Winters Centennial Park, and Lone Mountain Cemetery.
E. Update on the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center project. (Roger Moellendorf)
F. Update on the Foreman/Roberts House Carriage House Project. (Scott Fahrenbruch)
