The Parks and Recreation Department would like to make trail users aware that there have been more reported incidents of coyotes attacking dogs.

Carson City Public Works is reviewing the storm water management program and rates and will be having a public discussion with the Board of Supervisors in August. Prior to that meeting, we are seeking your input on July 23, 2015, in the Ormsby Room at the Sheriff’s Office (911 E. Musser Street, Carson City, NV 89701). Two meetings will be held: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Staff will present an overview of the storm water program and is seeking your input on expectations from the program.

The Spring 2015 Open Burn period is from March 14 through April 12, 2015. The purpose of the open burn period is to provide residents an opportunity to dispose of accumulations of weeds and yard debris. Beginning March 10, 2015, you may apply for a burn permit.
