VISION
The Open Space Advisory Committee will work to sustain natural and scenic resources and the long term quality of life in Carson City.
MISSION
Reporting to the Board of Supervisors, the Open Space Advisory Committee will develop, oversee, and support the Open Space Program by working in concert with staff and the public to acquire, interpret, preserve, and enhance natural landscape, agriculture, and cultural resources while balancing the needs of the public’s opportunities for passive recreation.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
Members of the public who wish to address the Open Space Advisory Committee may come forward and speak on matters related to the Committee. Comments may be limited to three minutes per person or topic. If your item requires extended discussion or action, please request the Chairperson to schedule the matter for a future meeting. No action may be taken on a matter raised under this item of the agenda until the matter itself has been specifically included on an agenda as an item upon which action may be taken.
1. FOR POSSIBLE ACTION ON APPROVAL OF MINUTES (April 18, 2016)
2. MODIFICATIONS TO THE AGENDA
Agenda Management Notice - Items on the agenda may be taken out of order; the public body may combine two or more agenda items for consideration; and the public body may remove an item from the agenda or delay discussion relating to an item on the agenda at any time.

A. Discussion only regarding the introduction of Jennifer Budge as the new Carson City Parks and Recreation Director. (Jennifer Budge)

For Possible Action: To recommend to the Board of Supervisors submittal of a grant application to the Forest Legacy Program for a conservation easement on two properties owned by Schulz Investments LLC, APN 007-051-09 consisting of 80 acres and APN 007-051-70 consisting of the western 55 acres.
