Horace Franklin Bartine (1848-1918) of Nevada. Born in New York, New York County, New York, March 21, 1848. Republican. U.S. Representative from Nevada at-large, 1889-93. Died in Winnemucca, Humboldt County, Nevada, August 27, 1918. (Plot: 1F-03-02)

Charles Henry Bryan (1822-1877) - of Marysville, Yuba County, California; Virginia City, Storey County, Nevada. Born in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus County, New York, October 20, 1822. Son of John Alexander Bryan. Went to California for the 1849 Gold Rush; member of California state senate, 1854; justice of California state supreme court, 1854-55; delegate to Nevada state constitutional convention, 1863. Died in Carson city, Nevada, May 14, 1877. (Plot: unknown)

 P.H. Clayton (1819-1874)  Founding member of Democratic Party in Nevada.  He was a Territorial-era attorney and involved in much of the early legislation that affected Nevada.  He was a "notorious" secessionist and served a three week sentence at Fort Churchill carrying a 100 lb sack of flour around parade grounds.  He served with the Carson Rangers during the Pyramid Lake War.  (Plot: W1E-05-03) 

Roswell Keyes Colcord (1839-1939) Seventh governor of NV (1891-1911).  Died at age 100 on anniversary of Nevada's Diamond Jubilee.  He moved to Virginia City, NV in 1863 and became a successful mining engineer.  He also set up law practices and became one of the top attorneys in the state.  He was selected as a commissioner to represent Nevada at the Paris Expedition in 1889. He was the first Nevada governor to support Woman's Suffrage.  During his tenure a state board of health was established, a mechanical engineering department was initiated at the University of Nevada and a first state board of equalization was authorized.  After his term as Governor, Colcord was named Superintendent of the US Mint's Carson City Mint, a position he held from 1898 to 1911.  At that time, the Mint did not produce money, but was a shipping point for bullion.   (Plot: 1E-18-03)

Denver Sylvester Dickerson (1872-1925) - of Nevada. Born in Millville, Utah, January 24, 1872. Father of Harvey Dickerson. Served in the U.S. Army during the Spanish-American War; newspaper editor; Lieutenant Governor of Nevada, 1907-10; Governor of Nevada, 1908-11. Died November 28, 1925. (Plot: 1G-09-09) 

John Edward Jones (1840-1896) - of Nevada. Born in Montgomeryshire, Wales, December 5, 1840. Governor of Nevada, 1895-96; died in office 1896. Died in San Francisco, California, April 10, 1896. Plot: 1E-16-04

John Henry Kinkead (1826-1904) - Born in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, on December 10, 1826. Treasurer of Nevada Territory, 1862-64; delegate to Nevada state constitutional convention, 1863; Governor of Nevada, 1879-83; Governor of Alaska District, 1884-85. Died in Carson City, Nevada, January 30, 1904. Plot: 1A-09-19

John Koontz (1909-1995) - of Nevada. Democrat. Secretary of state of Nevada, 1950. Died in 1995. (Plot: 1C-24-01) 

Chauncey Noteware (1825-1910) of Nevada. Born in New York. Delegate to Nevada state constitutional convention, 1863; secretary of state of Nevada, 1864.  Was born in Owego NY in 1825. He first married Miss Sarah (Maiden name Lyon) they had three children Dorsey 1858-1943. They moved to Nevada in the late 1850's and settled in Carson City where Chauncey was a local business man. Sarah died in 1867 and he married once again in 1868 to Mrs Mary (Widows name unknown) Mary died in 1890 and Chauncey lived on until Oct. 22 1910 when he passed away at age 85 and was laid to rest next to his two wives in the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City NV.  (Plot: 1A-08-16)

Tasker Lowndes Oddie (1870-1950) - aka Tasker L. Oddie - of Nye County, Nevada; Reno, Washoe County, Nevada. Born in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, October 20, 1870. Son of Henry Meigs Oddie and Ellen Gibson (Prout) Oddie; married, November 30, 1916, to Daisy Rendall. Rupublican. Lawyer; real estate business; mining business; Nye County District Attorney, 1900-02; member of Nevada state senate, 1904-08; Governor of Nevada, 1911-15; U.S. Senator from Nevada, 1921-33; defeated, 1932, 1938; alternate delegate to Republican National Convention from Nevada, 1940. Episcopalian. Member, Freemasons; Knights Templar; Shriners; Elks. Died in San Francisco, California, February 17, 1950. Plot: 1D-11-08
