The Capital to Tahoe Trail is Carson City's newest singletrack! 

"It takes a community to build trails, and this new trail is a demonstration of how local, state, and federal agencies can work together with non-profit organizations, private landowners, and committed individuals to accomplish a dream that benefits our community, and our entire region"  Carson City Mayor Lori Bagwell, at the Grand Opening on July 8, 2023.

This trail is the culmination of an eight-year effort by Muscle Powered, with the support of Carson City, Nevada State Parks, the U.S. Forest Service, a private landowner, and many others. In combination with the Lincon Bypass Trail and Ash to Kings Trail, the Capital to Tahoe Trail provides the first singletrack connection to Lake Tahoe and the world. From the steps of the State Capital in Carson City, a hiker can begin an incredible journey of 1,152 miles to Mexico or 1,606 miles to Canada!
