Junior Park Ranger Day is an annual event dedicated to help kids complete their Junior Ranger Adventure Guides and be sworn in all in one day! Jr. Rangers will get hands on learning experiences with the Carson City Park Rangers, learn about local flora and fauna, explore the park, and earn their patches and stickers!

The Regional Junior Ranger Day will be held on September 9, 2023 from 9am - 12pm at Galena Creek Regional Park.

This year, Junior Park Ranger Day will happen twice! Once, in Carson City on August 19th, and again as a Regional event at Galena Creek Regional Park.

Washoe County is hosting this year's Regional Junior Ranger Day and it will take place on September 9, 2023 from 9am - 12pm at Galena Creek Regional Park Visitor Center. They will be introducing their brand new Adventure Guides and leading several Leave No Trace activities around the park. There will also be lemonade inside the visitor center and a possible visit from everyone's favorite bear....

Location and Parking

Regional Junior Ranger Day will be held at theVisitor Center at Galena Creek Regional Park located at 18250 Mt Rose HWY, Reno NV.

Parking is available in the park.
