The animal services building replaced the previous shelter on Butti Way. The new building is approximately 10,955 square feet, located on Airport Road. It can accommodate 134 dogs, 104 cats, seven exotics, and will have two corrals for large animals in the near future. The new facility includes, adoption meet-and-greet areas, play areas and a spay/neuter clinic. The Nevada Humane Society is managing the facility. ‪The Nevada Humane Society successfully provides a no-kill community to Carson City and proudly maintains effective programs to rehabilitate and enhance the quality of life for all animals.
