Are you interested in making a positive impact in your community? Look no further than the Carson City Sheriff's Office Volunteers In partnership with the Sheriff. Carson City Sheriff’s Office has a team of dedicated volunteers that provide invaluable services to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and the Carson City Community.

We welcome citizens aged 18 or older who have a passion for assisting law enforcement and engaging in community service. Whether you have prior experience or not, we encourage you to apply as a CCSO VIP. While participation in the Carson City Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy is preferred, it is not required.

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and contribute to the Sheriff's Office in various ways. Here are some of the volunteer roles available:

  Patrol:
- House watch
- Neighborhood patrols
- Traffic control
- VIN inspections
- Abandoned vehicle checks
- Vehicle towing
- Interdepartmental mail delivery
- Deputy assist

  False Alarm Reduction

  Administrative:
- Clerical duties
- Front counter assistance
- Jail visitation

To apply, please visit the Carson City Sheriff's Office located at 911 East Musser Street, Carson City, NV 89701. Application forms can be picked up at the front counter.
