Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee

3. Public Comments**: The public is invited at this time to comment on and discuss any topic that is relevant to, or within the authority of, the Carson City Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee, including any matter that is not specifically included on the agenda as an action item.
5. Agenda Items
5.1 For Possible Action: To make recommendations to the Redevelopment Authority regarding allocation of Redevelopment undesignated infrastructure funds for Fiscal Year 2015-16 and estimating future allocations for the following four years to implement Redevelopment objectives as prioritized by the Redevelopment Authority on October 15, 2015. (Lee Plemel, firstname.lastname@example.org).
Staff Summary: The Redevelopment Authority prioritized objectives for the use of undesignated funds as follows: 1) construct downtown east/west sidewalk improvements to tie into the Carson Street and Curry Street projects, 2) purchase equipment and/or infrastructure to facilitate downtown events, 3) implement a façade improvement program, 4) continue with annual special event funding, 5) assist with utility extensions for new development, 6) assist in construction of the future William Street corridor project, 7) purchase property for future redevelopment, and 8) provide additional directional signage throughout the Redevelopment Areas. The RACC will make recommendations for allocating funding to these activities over the next five years.
5.2 For Possible Action: To make recommendations to the Redevelopment Authority regarding the implementation of a façade improvement program for properties within the Redevelopment District. (Lee Plemel, email@example.com).
Staff Summary: A façade improvement program would make Redevelopment funds available to assist property owners with improving the exterior appearance of their buildings. The program would include the parameters for the funding including the maximum allowable funding, the percentage of required matching funds, and other requirements for obtaining the funds.
6. Non-Action Items:
Staff reports and update on matters relating to the RACC.
Future agenda items for the next RACC meeting.
RACC member reports and comments.
7. Public Comments**: The public is invited at this time to comment on and discuss any topic that is relevant to, or within the authority of the RACC, including any matter that is not specifically included on the agenda as an action item.
8. For Possible Action: For adjournment
** PUBLIC COMMENT: The Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee will provide at least two public comment periods in compliance with the minimum requirements of the Open Meeting Law prior to adjournment. In addition, it is Carson City’s aspirational goal to also provide for item-specific public comment as follows: In order for members of the public to participate in the public body’s consideration of an agenda item, the public is strongly encouraged to comment on an agenda item when called for by the Chair during the item itself. No action may be taken on a matter raised under public comment unless the item has been specifically included on the agenda as an item upon which action may be taken. Comments may be limited to three minutes per person or topic at the discretion of the Chair in order to facilitate the meeting
